Hi Guys, currently we are between disco nights and new productions.
Starting at the beginning…who are Vanto & Mancuso?
We are Patrick Vanto and Daniele Mancuso, two electronic music lovers and two friends sharing a passion for music. Three years ago, we started our new project called Vanto & Mancuso, to underline our connection, using our surnames as our stage name.
When did you launch the project?
It all started in 2016 when we met in a Music studio. From that moment we immediately understood that we think in the same way,both in production and DJ sets. This project led us until today, working non-stop on our music devotion.
Where are you guys answering this interview from?
We are currently in our music studio in Zurich, the well-known Swiss city. It’s here where we spend our time as a duo.
We’ve just checked out your amazing new single on PinkStar Black. Can you talk us through the release and how it came about?
The idea was born during a summer evening in Italy in front of the majestic sea, which, you know, takes care of your thoughts. We were inspired by the waves, sometimes strong and sometimes very calm, so Heart & Mind came out almost naturally.
How does your creative process start when making a record?
We always start from an idea between sounds and a melody. Then, we create a new track.
Who takes on what roles in the studio?
Patrick (Vanto) deals with production of the tracks always looking for new ideas and music, Daniele (Mancuso) finish the tracks with some important gems. Together we balance all the elements until everything fits well.
Beyond the new single release, are you planning some other new music and projects soon that you can tell us about?
During the Lockdown, here in Switzerland, we spent a lot of time in the studio creating new tracks and we are currently releasing one track a month for our listeners.
