Los Angeles is set to host a special tribute performance honoring the enduring legacy of Dolly Parton, organized by Jordan Katz, a member of the Middle Aged Dad Jam Band and a noted television composer. The event, designed to celebrate Parton’s remarkable seven decades of songwriting and showmanship, will take place at The Lodge Room on September 24.
The evening promises to be an unforgettable showcase of song, storytelling, and heart, featuring a diverse lineup of performers. Notable participants include Paul F. Tompkins, Jena Malone, Garrison Starr, and Mike Viola. They will be supported by a house band comprised of talented musicians from groups such as Tenacious D, The Who, The Wallflowers, and Men At Work.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Dollywood Foundation. This organization supports various educational initiatives, most notably Parton’s long-standing Imagination Library, which provides free books to preschool children across the country. Tickets are currently available, with tiered donation options directly supporting the foundation’s mission.

This tribute is one of many planned in the wake of Parton’s passing on August 25. Her estate has also announced plans for “DollyFest,” a two-day festival-style event to be held in both Nashville and London. Originally conceived as an 80th-birthday celebration, the event was postponed following Parton’s illness. Danny Nozell, founder and CEO of CTK Enterprises, noted that the festival aligns with Parton’s own wishes, avoiding a traditional memorial in favor of a celebration that allows fans and artists to participate authentically.
As the music community continues to honor her, other tributes are taking shape, including the renaming of the Nashville International Airport in her honor and the recent release of her first posthumous recording on a Stanley Brothers tribute album.
