The Vault: Burlington’s own Trey Chops to release second EP in 30 days on April 9

Exactly a month after breaking a four-year hiatus from releasing music, Burlington’s Trey Chops will release his second EP of 2021. Starting with Chops’ The Vault Vol. 1 which he shared on March 9, The Vault Vol. 2 is expected to drop this Friday, April 9 with a collection of previously unreleased records.

“I’ve got about 4 or 5 4-track EPs comprised of old music that hasn’t seen the light of day, all of which is 100% self-produced,” Chops explained.

“I plan on releasing them throughout the year, with a new EP of BRAND NEW tracks by the end of 2021.”

Since his debut on the scene in the early 2010’s, Chops has established himself as a “one-man, band man.” Along with being a rapper, he’s also producing his own beats and engineering his own sessions.

Living just outside of Toronto always felt like creative limbo, leading to a 4-year hiatus where Trey Chops didn’t release any music. Fast-forward to 2021 where Trey Chops is finally ready to put out the music (and production) he has been sitting on for years!

Vault Vol. 1 is available now on various digital streaming platforms including Apple Music and Spotify.
