We Outside: Tory Lanez releases surprise EP with assistance from Kodak Black

Following his impressive return to Hot 97 with Funkmaster Flex just last week—as well as his Rolling Loud performance last weekend—Tory Lanez continues to keep fans on high alert by garnering headlines and dropping new releases.

On July 26th 2021, Tory enlisted Kodak Black for his new single “Grah Tah Tah,” which opened with attention grabbing bars:

“Ayy, I know y’all hoes want me in jail
But I’ma stunt ’cause I’m a baller
I damn near gave my heart to that bitch
Still don’t make time to call her”

The single featured production from GodBoyDinero and FOREVEROLLING, as well as visuals powered by Christian Breslauer / The Lucky Bastards, Inc. It reached YouTube’s trending list for music, and has brought in over 5.7 million views to date.

However, little did fans know that the single was actually teasing his latest capsule—a five track EP called We Outside. Tory made the surprise announcement through social media, serving as a birthday gift to fans.

“MY BIRTHDAY IS @ 12 AM …… IM DROPPING A 5 SONG CAPSULE TOMORROW CALLED #WeOutsideCapsule !!!!! HAPPY U DAY UMBRELLAS”

We Outside was released on Tuesday and follows Tory’s previous R&B capsule, Playboy. Playboy was released earlier this year, and has received over 30 million global streams to date. You can check out “We Outside” on Spotify and other digital streaming platforms via One Umbrella Records.
