Leftside Music Group artist Dkay dropped off his newly released single, “Pull Up.”
The new track actually landed the Vancouver-based rapper an offer for new deal with a record label based out of LA, but he declined the opportunity for various reasons. He’s still in the process of finding his own sound, and the right offer to align with his overall vision. Nowadays, Dkay produces 95% of his music because he likes being in control of his sound, so any kind of deal he’s signing is going to need to line up with that. He’s the complete package.
“I don’t just write and record myself, I also produce and engineer my records as well,” Dkay explained.
“My sound is sometimes more raw than other artists because I’m making an effort to be different and sound different.”
Dkay says he previously turned down a management deal with Rich Gang/Cash Money Records back in 2017, since he had a different direction in mind. But with his history and notoriety in the Canadian Music Industry, Dkay is ready to make a comeback and start actively putting out new music from his stash starting with “Pull Up.”
