Trap Lore Ross on “Why Tay-K Got 55 Years For ‘The Race’”

Every now and then, we reach back into the massive Trap Lore Ross catalogue to share some of the videos he published before he really hit our radar. Back in December 2019, Ross saw a huge boost in subscribers with the release of a 25 minute video explaining why “Why Tay-K Got 55 Years For ‘The Race’.”

Tay-K, born Taymor Travon McIntyre, is a Platinum certified rapper from Long Beach, California who was convicted of 3 counts of aggravated robbery, and one count of Murder in July 2019. Musically, he’s probably best known for his 2017 hit song “The Race”, which reached #44 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was certified Platinum in January 2018.

The song was released on June 30, 2017, the same day Tay-K had been arrested by U.S. marshals after being on the run for three months. The accompanying video has been viewed over 226 million times on YouTube since premiering the same day.
