I Believed It: Anticipation builds for dvsn & Ty Dolla $ign joint album

Canadian duo dvsn is gearing up for the release of a new joint album with Los Angeles star rapper and producer, Ty Dolla $ign. This past weekend, their recently released visualizer for the Mac Miller-assisted single “I Believed It,” passed one million views on YouTube.

Representing Toronto’s OVO Sound, dvsn group members Daniel Daley and Nineteen85 re-connected with Ty after previously working with him on their 2020 album, A Muse In Her Feelings. “Dangerous City,” which also features Buju Banton, has over 13.7 million streams on just Spotify alone.

“I Believed It” was announced on Instagram by dvsn with footage of a studio session that was recorded before Miller’s tragic passing in September 2018. The post also hinted at a collaboration album with Ty Dolla $ign. Which has yet to receive an official release date.

“P.S. joint project otw… sooner than you think”

“I Believed It” features a soulful sample from a 1972 R&B track by The Continental Four titled, “(You’re Living) In A Dream World,” featuring the trio wearing their heart on their sleeves discussing their romantic interests. You can find the single on Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms via OVO Sound / Warner Records.
