Experimental musician and producer Yves Tumor, known by his birth name Sean “Shanti” Bowie, has publicly denied a series of serious sexual assault allegations that have surfaced on social media. The claims, which began circulating on August 19, 2026, involve multiple women who have accused the artist of abusive and predatory behavior.
The allegations gained traction after an X user shared a Reddit post from the r/yvestumor community, which featured an image of a woman with a bruised neck. The accompanying caption alleged that the artist had forcefully groped the individual, bitten her, and physically assaulted her. Following this, other figures in the music industry, including musician Angel Money, came forward with their own accounts. Money alleged that the artist had groped her on camera during a release party for the group Frost Children. Other attendees of the same event subsequently shared similar experiences, describing instances of unwanted physical contact and harassment.
Further accusations were leveled by singer Kidä, who had previously collaborated with the artist on the 2023 track “Lovely Sewer.” Kidä alleged that the artist had engaged in emotionally abusive behavior toward his partner while on tour and described her professional experience with him as deeply disrespectful. She further characterized his behavior as part of a long-standing pattern of predatory conduct within the fashion and music industries.
In response to the growing controversy, the artist initially addressed the claims through a now-deleted Instagram Story, stating, “100% untrue and also completely heartbreaking. will be taking extreme legal action.” He later issued a more detailed statement on his official Instagram account, maintaining his innocence and expressing gratitude for the support of his friends and partners.
“Nothing means more to me right now than my close friends and lovers reaching out in support and helping me combat these not only false, but completely disgusting, salacious lies being spread about me by someone who I barely know,” the artist wrote. He added that he has been advised by his legal counsel not to speak further, but insisted that he has “nothing to hide” and possesses witnesses to support his defense. He concluded his statement by asserting that “the truth will always prevail.”
