One of Canada’s fastest rising rap stars has released his latest project, Winnipeg’s Anomaly.
After dropping several new singles over the past weeks—and already releasing the Made 4 More and Made 4 More (Deluxe) albums earlier in the year—YSN Fab returns with a featureless 12-track album which is guaranteed to resonate soundly with his ever-growing fanbase.
Kicking off with the Gwiz and Ran Beats-produced, “Get Rich or Die Trying,” Winnipeg’s Anomaly begins emotionally charged with a moody feeling that can be found throughout the project. Fab drops introspective bars, while providing hopeful and inspirational prose peppered with a healthy dose of confidence and braggadocio. Winnipeg’s Anomaly captures life’s highs and lows—with Fab dedicating as much time to tackling issues of love and relationships as he does to finding success and getting paid.
On the song “Pascal,” Fab pays tribute to his friend and producer (and even manager) Pascal Beats and questions where he’d be if he hadn’t believed in him. The song details how Pascal influenced Fab’s decision to start rapping and to put on for their hometown, Winnipeg. As we can see from him including his city in the album title, Fab has been going out of his way to represent for his city, while doing numbers unfortunately generally unheard of from the talented Manitoba hip-hop scene… a true anomaly.
“Giving hope to my hopeless city, they’ve been waiting for a n***a like me to blow, and I’m ready.” – YSN Fab
Along with Gwiz, Ran, and Pascal, production on the album comes courtesy of Ariel Posen, Elaye, Haze, JKei, JP Beats, jwestbeats, KFHitmaker, Layzbeats, Lowrenz, Luhkim, RocKy, and Shottie.
Winnipeg’s Anomaly is available on various digital streaming platforms including Apple Music and Spotify via YSN Entertainment.
