HipHopMadness looks at “How The Game sabotaged his rap career”

YouTube channel HipHopMadness recently dropped a new video taking a look at the career of Compton, California rapper, The Game.

For years now, The Game’s scandals and feuds have outshined his talent, which is saying a lot because The Game has a lot of talent. Unfortunately, the more The Game keeps instigating pointless feuds, racking up increasingly serious legal troubles, and acting borderline sociopathic- the harder it is for fans to focus on, or even remember, how talented he is as an artist.

The Game was one of the greatest and arguably most underrated MC’s of his generation. His debut album The Documentary is a certified classic and one of the quintessential rap albums of the 2000’s. But The Game’s behavior and career trajectory have basically turned him into a walking-and-talking case study of what happens when you’re your own worst enemy. His name dropping has left him no one to defend him and his alleged behavior has robbed him of his royalties. The Game seems to have backed himself into a corner.
