Check The Resume: Maestro Fresh Wes & Enough Is Enough to host online job readiness program on Feb. 21

Enough Is Enough—the team behind the mega collaboration “Wish I Could”—continues to roll out much need initiatives for the community. The latest is an event on Feb. 21 aimed at supporting young people looking for guidance while writing a resume, and figuring out how to be “job ready.”

Check The Resume is a free online resume and job readiness program attempting to inspire everyone who is seeking employment. The workshop will be hosted by none other than Canadian hip-hop Godfather, Maestro Fresh Wes, and will also feature Turk (Turk Foundation) and others. During the event, Maestro will interview Turk on his trials and tribulations to find out how he shifted his mindset to form the Turk Foundation. Lori Petteplace and Pamela Braza Pitman will also be speaking on the importance of the job search process, personal branding and resume writing. As a follow-up, consultation and one on one peer review will be offered as well.

“Check The Resume will inspire you to reevaluate yourself by dealing with the concept of SELF-REVISION and emphasizing the importance of COGNITIVE CHANGE. Industry professionals will help in showing you the importance of GOAL SETTING and motivate you to become the greatest version of yourself.”

Both Turk and Maestro appeared on “Wish I Could,” along with Bizz Loc, Roney, JD Era, Jelleestone, and JRDN. The accompanying video, directed by The Knemesis, just recently passed 100K views on YouTube.

“I’m beyond proud of our team,” wrote producer and Enough Is Enough founder Dub J on Instagram.

“Back in October we brought you ‘Wish I Could,’ a roster of A-List Toronto artists uniting to speak up in the senseless shootings happening in Toronto. The city responded and brought that record to #1 on iTunes. Then we brought you the ENOUGH IS ENOUGH app to drive further awareness to the issue of gun violence by giving the community a way to be aware and respond in real time with support! I’m extremely happy to announce we something special planned for Feb 21.”
