A Massive Expansion for Sónar 2025
Sónar 2025 has officially unveiled a significant expansion to its musical programming, adding over 50 new acts to an already stellar lineup. With these latest confirmations, the festival now boasts a total of 117 scheduled performances, solidifying its status as a premier destination for electronic music enthusiasts. The event is set to take place across 10 distinct stages in Barcelona from June 10th to 15th.
Diverse Sounds and Iconic Collaborations
The latest additions bring a wealth of diversity to the festival’s stages. Among the notable live performances are appearances by Pa Salieu, Sega Bodega, Dengue Dengue Dengue, and Josh Caffé. Fans can also look forward to high-profile DJ sets from industry titans like Dixon and Ultra Naté. A particularly poignant highlight will be the special tribute to the late Ryuichi Sakamoto, performed by Alva Noto and Fennesz.
The festival continues to champion innovation, featuring unique projects such as Nathy Peluso’s upcoming remix album and forward-thinking performances from artists like Safety Trance and Animistic Beliefs. The 32nd edition of Sónar remains committed to its core mission of fostering cross-genre collaboration, blending everything from afrobeat influences to club and pop fusion.

Immersive Experiences and Technical Innovation
Beyond the music, Sónar 2025 is set to elevate the attendee experience with the introduction of a dedicated Boiler Room stage at Sónar by Night. Furthermore, the festival is renewing its collaboration with Printworks London to present the SonarLab x Printworks stage, which promises to deliver cutting-edge visual and audio production.
The festival’s reputation as a hub for electronic music innovation is further bolstered by previous announcements, including performances by Plastikman, Arca, and Eric Prydz. The festivities will officially commence on June 12th at the Palau de la Música Catalana, featuring a concert dedicated to the works of Steve Reich and Raquel García-Tomás.
