The Get Down: 9-0-Nickel’s Zaze releases his first single of 2020

To finish off 2019, 9-0-Nickel Entertainment artist Zaze dropped a free EP for fans, and immediately got to work on a new project slated to drop later this year.

This month, Zaze took his first step towards the release of a new project by dropping the first official single, “The Get Down.” So far, the album has yet to be named but expect it to drop sometime in the second half of 2020.

The Don P of Anno Domini Nation-produced beat has an eerie and dark undertone behind it that keeps things fresh. Along with being spliced with a southern style drum clap, it definitely follows the hardcore rap style that Zaze frequently brings.

Following suit with his fast and lyrical style, Zaze stays consistent with his trade mark voice which can’t be mistaken with any other. All the 90’s hip-hop heads will appreciate the screwed, demonic style chorus he lays down, paying homage to the 1994 Nas classic “Life’s a Bitch.”

There is currently a music video in the works for “The Get Down” which is being produced by True Aspect Media. The video is being scheduled for an April or May release as things stand now.

“The Get Down” was recently added to HipHopCanada’s official Spotify playlist, Canadian Fresh.

Along with Spotify, you can find the song on various other digital streaming platforms including Apple Music and TIDAL.
