As we reported a few days ago, May 1 marked the start of a big promo campaign for 9-0-Nickel Entertainment CEO and recording artist Peter Jackson. Technically, he’s already months into working on his next project, but the release of this new track takes things to another level.
The Ghostface Killah-assisted “Bill Clinton” has officially hit major streaming platforms, and the accompanying video is expected to drop within a few days.
Peter Jackson has a long history with GFK and Wu-Tang, having toured with them, booked them for shows, and facilitated their business dealings with other promoters and artists in Canada. The video is expected to capture some of those moments.
The next phase of the campaign will begin on May 15 when Jackson releases his next single which will feature Paterson, New Jersey’s own Fetty Wap.
Both songs will be released in support of Jackson’s next EP, 23 & A Half, expected to drop later this year.
“Bill Clinton”—which just reached the Top 100 singles on iTunes—is HipHopCanada’s Song of the Day. The single has also been added to our official Spotify playlist, Canadian Fresh.
Jackson was actually coincidentally on our Song of the Day yesterday as well as Canada’s 420 Klick brought him in as the guest feature for their big single “Pretendin,” which is about to crack 100K views. And we previously released another video in support of the new EP, “My Sanity,” which has passed 115K. It’s easy to see why people consider Jackson one if the hardest working people in Canada.
Check out his latest below and stay tuned for the video.
