Musical prodigy, multi-genre music producer and emerging Nigerian artist Icebeatchillz, formerly known as Ice Beat, has just dropped his latest song and music video “Area.” With a title specifically designed to remain ambiguous, we can assure you the music itself is not. Icebeatchillz has teamed up with dancehall legend Beenie Man who got inspired to freestyle on the beat right after hearing it for the first time. The two were surely meant to associate, and the result is simply astonishing. Afro-dancehall vibes mixed with reggae, r&b, and soul has been layered as the base to reveal a story about a guy’s fantasy chase of a beautiful woman. The music video is as good as the song, and was shot both in Nigeria and Jamaica by Adasa Cookey and Steven Bernard.
