Somali-Canadian singer-songwriter Amaal delivers a sweet follow-up to “Honey” with her newest offering “Heaven.” The new single is accompanied by a David Camarena-directed visual that sees Amaal detail her recipe to be loved in a Afrofuturism set reality.
“Heaven” keeps viewers mesmerized as they dive into the free and luscious mind of the singer-songwriter. Amaal will reveal more on her acts of feminine liberation, detailing her unapologetic inner thoughts that embrace intimacy and female autonomy on her highly-anticipated forthcoming EP, Milly, named after her alter ego. Milly is an unapologetic version of Amaal that embraces intimacy and female autonomy without fear of shame or judgement. It will follow Amaal’s first studio EP, Black Dove, which made quite an impact as she showcased her powerful intuition, both musically and emotionally.
Amaal’s latest track follows her summer release “Honey” which pulled in rave reviews from The Fader, Billboard, V Magazine, Earmilk, Complex, Refinery29, and more.
You can find “Heaven” on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms via Warner Music Canada. The Milly EP will be dropping on Thursday, October 28.
