Earlier this year, while preparing to represent San Marino in the 2026 Eurovision contest, the singer expressed a sense of connection to the Jewish people while maintaining neutrality regarding the state of Israel. However, that position has shifted dramatically. The new song, which shares its title with a documentary about the October 7, 2023, attack on the Nova music festival, explicitly champions Israel’s military actions in Gaza.
The production of the track has drawn attention for its unusual stylistic choices. The song adopts a reggae-inspired sound, a decision attributed by critics to the AI software used in its creation. Lyrically, the song is confrontational, featuring lines such as, “You say genocide, I say war,” and “When you’re attacked, that’s what the army’s for.”
