Toronto artist Blacka Da Don started off July with a bang as he released his highly anticipated new project, 61st Music.
The 13-track album is packed with some huge records assisted by a top notch selection of guest features including Cocanina (“Life In The Garden 2“), LB Spiffy (“Get It In”), Cheffie (“Tribulations”), Homie61st and Bakes61st (“Put In Time”), and JRDN and Nassia (“Legends Never Die”).

Along with releasing the new project on July 2, Blacka pulled the trigger on his latest music video “Loyalty.” So far at least half a dozen songs on 61st Music have been visualized. “Loyalty” was shot by TK Productions, who was also behind Cheffie’s video for “Kolder.”
“Loyalty” follows the BrownGuyMadeIT-powered video for “Life In The Garden 2,” and the TK-powered “Prayer.” Before that, Blacka and Cheffie teamed up with Charlton Visuals for “Tribulations,” and “Made A Plan” received visual support back in Nov. 2019.

The album focuses largely on Blacka’s come up and experiences in the streets, his growth in the music game, and the toll it’s taken; on him and those around him.
A standout track is the JRDN and Nassia-assisted “Legends Never Die” which pays homage to the people they’ve lost over the years. As the chorus goes, “R.I.P. legends never die. Part of our memory forever, because legends never die.”
61st Music is available on various digital streaming platforms including Spotify where the project has amassed more than 140K streams in 48 hours.
