Originating from Brampton, Ontario, TOBi continues to make waves within the Canadian music scene. This time he has teamed up with Toronto’s Jazz Cartier for a new single in preparation for his upcoming project.
“Woah” features production from Alex Goose and Eest, with mixing by mixedbyjoncastelli and mastering by beckermastering. Throughout the track the pair bounce off of each other’s verses for a dynamic, hard-hitting collaboration, which isn’t surprising given their previous history. Their infectious chemistry was evident on the massive 2020 single, “24 (Toronto Remix)” which also featured Haviah Mighty, Shad, and Ejji Smith.
The new song follows TOBi’s previous release, “Off The Drugs” with Chicago’s own Mick Jenkins. The song has managed to garner over 430K global streams on Spotify since its July 14th release. Visuals for that song were powered by Studio Linguini and it’s brought in over 50K views since its premiere on YouTube.
In addition to the track, TOBi also announced three tour dates in Canada for this coming December including stops in Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto. Tickets for the tour are expected to go on sale this Friday.
You can listen to “Woah” on Spotify and other various digital streaming platforms via Same Plate / RCA Records. Check out the song and video for “Off The Drugs” below.
