Toronto-based recording artist UZA recently dropped off her second official single with the energetic, dancehall influenced and Lord Fury-assisted, “Head Ah Spin.” It’s also the second single off her forthcoming EP, expected to drop later this year via X10 Entertainment.
Following up on her June release, “No Labels,” the new track is inspired by the present day mercurial world, entrenched with flow-changes, whity lyrics, and intertwined with bass, percussions and synths. UZA effortlessly fuses sounds creating an enticingly fresh vibe, with Canadian Wu-Tang affiliate Lord Fury’s patois-laced contributions cementing the song as a playlist-must for the Fall season.
“Head Ah Spin” also speaks volumes when it comes to the fusion of UZA’s culture. This song is about standing up for what you believe in, being a warrior, even if it means you have to be a bad girl. For UZA, the song has really awakened her inner-strength, and pushed her artistry to new levels.
“Head Ah Spin” is accompanied by an enticing music video directed by Isabelle and Salma Please. The new single is available now on Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms via X10 Entertainment.
