The Jump: Cheffie releases new video inspired by 90’s classic Home Alone

Toronto rapper Cheffie has released some great new visuals in support of his latest project, Avenue.

The new BrownGuyMadeIT-directed video for “The Jump” is a lighthearted play on the 90’s classic Home Alone, packed with two home invaders, flying paint cans and everything else you might expect.

Taking place over Christmas (naturally), Cheffie, playing the role of Kevin McCallister, defends his home from the guys looking to break-in, and relies on tried and true methods from the film to ward them off. There’s even a reenactment of the scene where the clip from the fake old-time gangster movie Angels with Filthy Souls which is a perfect touch.

“Hey, I tell ya what I’m gonna give you, Snakes. I’m gonna give you to the count of 10, to get your ugly, yella, no-good keister off my property, before I pump your guts full of lead! 1… 2… 10! Keep the change, ya filthy animal!” – Home Alone (1990)

And in case you didn’t know, Angels with Filthy Souls is actually not a real film. The clip was made just for use in Home Alone.

“The Jump,” shot and edited by TK Productions, is the latest of a string of recent videos from Cheffie. TK also shot the “Intro” video which we shared back in November.

Avenue is available on various digital streaming platforms including Apple Music and Spotify via Music That Matters.

“The Jump” is HipHopCanada’s Song of the Day. You can check out the video below.
