After dropping his popular song “Girlfriend” back in March, Ottawa-based 404vincent recently returned with his latest release.
“Pisces,” co-produced by 404vincent and cxmp, is a bouncy, hard-hitting, guitar-infused production where the Canadian talent showcases his raw emotion and commanding vocals. The song has already racked up over 50K streams on Spotify since its release on July 31st. It’s familiar early numbers for the 21-year-old rapper/producer, who’s 2020 single “Talk a Lot” just recently cracked 9.2 million streams.
In a recent interview with iHeartRadio, 404vincent provided some insight on what he has planned for the coming months:
“I was planning on dropping an EP really soon, but I decided it just makes more sense to drop them all as singles and then lead up into another EP. I’m really excited for the fans to hear this new music. I have over 300 songs on my private SoundCloud. We got songs.”
He also spoke on the inspiration for his “Girlfriend” single, which is sitting at over 419K Spotify streams:
“Honestly, I was just being a dick. I had the idea in my head for a few years now. It just finally came to life this year. I heard the beat—I found it on YouTube—and then within, like, 30 minutes, I had the entire hook done, half the verse, and I just sent it off to the team and they loved it.”
Additionally, “I’m So Stressed“—404vincent’s first single of 2021—picked up traction on TikTok recently, garnering over 4 million total views from fan-made content using the song.
Since 404vincent started making music, he has continued to reinvent the trap scene with his addictive sound that is both relatable and authentic and keeps bringing his fans back for more while reeling in new ones. Stay tuned for more music from 404vincent in 2021. Along with Spotify, you can find “Pisces” on various other digital streaming platforms including Apple Music and Amazon Music via Sony Music Entertainment Canada.
