Toronto recording artist Mackenta, previously known as Mack Davis, recently returned with her latest single, “Lately.”
The song is a subtle record packed with confident, unphased vocals and comes as a vow to let go and move on. It reflects on love, heartbreak, and her experience in the male-dominated underground Toronto entertainment scene. With “Lately,” Mackenta’s no-stress zone is fully activated; a gentle yet powerfully worded R&B infused hip hop-hop gem with consoling vocals.
“I want them to feel like they have the power to get through whatever challenges they’re dealing with,” said Mackenta of the release.
“And also have a song they can vibe to, listening to late night on the way home on the highway.”
