Drake’s Certified Lover Boy is being mixed & “on the way”

The wait for Drake’s highly anticipated six studio album Certified Lover Boy is almost over.

Following more than three years since a proper studio album was released, and almost a year of build up since the announcement of CLB, the project appears to be in the final stages before being ready for delivery.

After Dana White of the UFC hyped the release just a week ago, Drake has taken to social media to offer fans an update on the album’s status. On Sound 42’s Fri Yiy Fridays show, Drake revealed that the album was in the final mixing stages and almost ready to be shared with the world. Drake also posted an Instagram story of himself in the studio just a few days ago, letting fans know he was putting the final touches on the project.

“Definitely on my way home to reunite with my dawg [40] and finish this thing up…. CLB on the way. On your head top.”

The announcement follows Drake’s new collaboration with Brent Faiyaz for The Neptunes-produced, “Wasting Time,” which dropped just a few weeks ago. And Rick Ross mentioned the possibility of a joint album coming sometime this year, once both artists were able to get their solo projects out. Hopefully this means we’ll be seeing CLB before the end of the summer.
