Ottawa rapper Belly continues to tease his forthcoming LP, See You Next Wednesday, with the release of another new big collaboration. This time he’s teamed up with The Weeknd and Young Thug for his third single of the year, “Better Believe.”
The stacked collaboration took fans by surprise from an unexpected Instagram post by Belly earlier in the week.
“Biggest record of the summer out this Thursday July 22 ft. @theweeknd @thuggerthugger1 ! YA’LL BETTER BELIEVE. Presave link in bio ‼️‼️”
“Better Believe” was released on July 22, 2021 with production from Zaytoven, DannyBoyStyles, and The ANMLS, and features the trio flexing their status and impact within music.
“But don’t make a move ’til I say so (Say so)
Drop a few hits then I lay low (Lay)
Ever since I been single
A side chick wanna be main chick
She know I’ma make her famous”
The track follows Belly’s collaboration with MoneyBagg Yo for “Zero Love,” as well as his release with Griselda’s Benny The Butcher on “Money on The Table” from April. Belly’s previous studio album was 2018’s IMMIGRANT, and fans have been eagerly waiting for a new project since. As of now, See You Next Wednesday has yet to receive an official release date.
“Better Believe” is HipHopCanada’s Song of the Day. You can listen to “Better Believe” on Spotify and various other digital streaming platforms via XO / Roc Nation. You can also find the song on our official Spotify playlist, Canadian Fresh.
A cinematic Christian Breslauer-directed video for the single was released earlier today. At the time of this post, it has over 1.6 million views, and is #5 on Trending on YouTube.
