Gallery: Snocaps play all the Crutchfield family hits at Bowery Ballroom show

Last week, Snocaps—the duo of twin sisters Katie and Allison Crutchfield—played two nights at the Bowery Ballroom in New York. The great Brennan Wedl, who’s primed to have a big 2026, opened for them, and indie greats MJ Lenderman and Twin Peaks’ Colin Croom joined the band alongside producer Brad Cook. Snocaps played songs from their new, self-titled album, including the incredible “Brand New City,” “Doom,” and “Cherry Hard Candy.” But there was a bit of fan-service included, as the Crutchfields pulled a few P.S. Eliot songs out of the vault (“Incoherent Love Songs,” “Shitty and Tragic,” “Tennessee,” “Like How You Are”), some cuts from Allison’s old band Swearin’ (“Just,” “Dust in the Gold Sack,” “Movie Star”), and Waxahatchee gems (“Silver,” “Coast to Coast,” “Bathtub”). It was a balanced setlist that, above all, showcased two decades of the Crutchfields’ starpower.

In their review of Snocaps, Paste editor Matt Mitchell wrote: “We’re older; Katie and Allison Crutchfield are older, 36 now. Snocaps captures the growing pains, in bouncy, sometimes-country-fried, sometimes-punky, sometimes-elegiac songs. Broadly, the album is about the nostalgia of past mistakes turning into sage advice about aging. Specifically, it’s about cars driving down numbered roads, restless pride, loud bars, muses, being thorny girlfriends, addiction, big dreams, and toxic friendships. This is what well-rooted and courageous music sounds like.”

Our good pal Emilio Herce was on the scene capturing the action. Check out our gallery from Snocaps’ debut NYC show below:
