Dame Dash could be arrested for not complying with a judge’s orders in connection with paying $1 million for two lawsuit judgments.
Dame Dash Faces Arrest
On April 29, Judge Robert W. Lehrburger made a ruling on Dame’s failure to provide evidence of his assets for the purposes of enforcing the judgments against him, according to court documents obtained by XXL on Monday (May 5). Dame was supposed to provide the information on March 10, but failed to do so. The judge has set a new deadline for May 9. If Dame doesn’t turn over the information this time, he could be arrested.
“If Defendants fail to comply, the Court will find Defendants in contempt and may issue an arrest warrant for Mr. Dash to bring him to Court to respond to the discovery sought,” the ruling reads. “Additionally, sanctions will be imposed, which may include drawing adverse inferences, preclusion, and/or monetary sanctions.”

Dame Dash’s Money Woes
The issue stems from Dame losing a defamation lawsuit filed by film producer Josh Webber in 2022. In January of 2019, Webber sued Dame for defamation and copyright infringement in connection with a dispute over the 2019 film Dear Frank. A jury awarded Webber $900,000. In 2024, Dame was ordered to auction his stake in Roc-A-Fella Records in order to satisfy the debt. However, the State of New York bought the asset for $1 million last November in order to recoup Dame’s multi-million-dollar tax debt.
Dame was also ordered to pay Edwyna Brooks $100,000 in a copyright lawsuit in 2020. However, Dame has yet to cough up the cash, and both parties claim he has been hiding assets in order not to have to pay out.
XXL has reached out to Dame Dash’s attorney for comment.
