Richmond, Va.’s True Body have released “Television,” the second single from their forthcoming debut LP Heavenly Rhythms for the Uninitiated, out April 3 via Funeral Party Records. They previously released a split EP with fellow Richmond band Slump, and lead singer Isabel Moreno-Riaño recently collaborated with shadowy pop mainstay SRSQ.
“Television” is a pensive, driving post-punk track with vocals reminiscent of The National’s Matt Berninger (if he fronted a goth band). It starts off slowly with just a simple synthesizer and blooms into a full-bodied, yearning love song. It follows their previous single “Spirit City.”
