Our Song of the Day is the latest release from Toronto up-and-comer SuziWithAnUzi.
The anticipated single, co-produced by Ace G and Bijan Amir, is the second official release from the artist who Pigeons and Planes just dubbed one of the “Best New Artists of the Month” (for February 2020).
“Her first two singles are dismal and toxic, and influences ranging from Lana Del Rey and Amy Winehouse to Lil Peep and Earl Sweatshirt make sense without being obvious.” – Pigeons & Planes
Coming off of the heals of her bravado dripping first single “BRAG,” Suzi’s new song “CRYBABY :'(” sees her diving into the topic of heartbreak while romanticizing the ills of a toxic relationship. “Everything’s made to die baby, I’m sorry if I made you cry Baby.”
The 21-year-old artist reveals that the release of “CRYBABY :'(” marks the start of a new chapter.
“That was a more intimate Uzi. About drug addiction and hurting someone that hurt you.”
With her music gaining more and more popularity within the city, and her signature look adding to her allure, we’ve only began to scratch the surface of what SuziWithAnUzi is all about.
Check out “CRYBABY :'(” and make sure you check out the video for “BRAG” if you missed it the first time around.
“CRYBABY :'(” has been added to HipHopCanada’s official Spotify playlist, Canadian Fresh.
Along with Spotify, you can find the single on various digital streaming platforms including Apple Music and TIDAL.
