US producer Dark & Stormy drops his ‘Feel Me East Coast’ EP rEJEKT Music. ‘Feel Me East Coast’ features inctive and emotionally resonant tracks that incorporate elements of house and tech house history of the USA.
‘Feel Me East Coast’ brings back the best of timeless deep Chicago sound. Dark & Stormy blends futurism, minimalism, and a return to mid-’90s sensibilities made for earbuds & clubs alike. After a few years playing in bands in 2009 he turned his hand to electronic music, attracting an small army of dedicated fans.
‘Club dub’ is arguably the most club-orientated track on the release, skipping along on ahouse beat with a thunderous tom-led bassline. But as with all Dark & Stormy’s production, there are multiple layers and tonal changes, with a depth that keep his music endlessly fascinating.
Joeski’s version is a contemporary Main Room Tech House weapon. He shows clearly how he masters the techno crossover with house elements and demonstrates the versatility of his track and the vision he has for the dancefloor.
In his second original, ‘Fuq with it’ Dark & Stormy brings another old-school House jam. This track will tickle you with a strong groovy attitude and a warm and lively bassline, a perfect combination to make you move your head.
This release features two remixes of ‘Fuq with it’. The first version is from Rejekt Music favourite Riki Inosente is the perfect track to inject some energy into the dancefloor.
The second remix by Columbian duo Siwark & Hassio got element of infectious South American flair added.
Release closes with a heavy tension of ‘The Cut’. Probably Dark & Stormy’s strongest dance floor cut. Deep throbbing driving bass, snappy crunchy beats, old school vocal samples with the trademark pads & strings meandering through the mix.
