Berlin-based DJ, producer, and MYR label founder Goeran Meyer unveils his latest release, Restless World — a captivating slice of organic house that marks the 36th release on his respected imprint. Known for his distinctive blend of sleek house and techno, Meyer once again delivers a rich musical journey tailored for both the dancefloor and the soul.
Rooted in smooth grooves and atmospheric textures, Restless World reflects the current global mood with both urgency and introspection. “‘Restless World’ captures the unease and tension many of us feel in today’s world, while also reminding us of the grounding, connective power music can have — especially within our community,” says Meyer. “We hope this new piece of music brings you some movement, release and a moment of peace in this restless world.”
Built on supple percussion and flowing rhythms, the original track balances drive with emotional depth. Majestic pads and swirling string motifs envelop the listener, while a meditative breakdown offers a moment of pause before the groove pulls you back in.
To complement the original, two standout vocal edits offer alternative emotional dimensions. Label mainstay Mario Navajo infuses his signature deep and melancholic tone into a hypnotic interpretation, while D-LEE brings a spoken-word flair, adding rawness and narrative to the piece. Both versions retain the track’s core sentiment while pushing it into new, expressive territory.
