One of the most influential names on the underground scene, UK’s Dax J shared a story of his first DJ appearance.
Dax played for the first time at Serbia’s Exit festival back in 2009. He recalled a competition that was made during the festival where the ones who sent the best mixtapes got a chance to play at My Exit Stage.
Dax J went to Exit festivals as a tourist with his friends, applied to this competition, sent his mixtape and was chosen to play on the stage. This was his first time behind the DJ pool, but what Dax J also said is that only five or six people were there to hear him play for the first time.
