Adiel unveils collab with Guinean Falle Nioke, ‘Bolingo Malenbè’

Magnetic talent Adiel, her native Rome’s Goa Club resident DJ on their famed Ultrabeat vinyl nights and global exponent of techno’s wilder shores, now joins [PIAS] Électronique to share original tracks which spiked her 2024 DJ sets. First of the series is Bolingo Malenbè’, her collab single with Guinean singer/percussionist Falle Niokemingling his afrobeats and vocal with her breaks, tribal and dub-influenced techno.

‘Bolingo Malenbè’ dazzles the ear with Nioke’s rich, resonant vocal showcased by her signature ‘techno with emotion’ which combines strong breaksy beats – encompassing vibes of Falle’s traditional West African percussion – alongside hard, juddering, reverb-heavy techno bass lines and spacey sound FX, with gentler melodic interludes of guitar- and piano-like phrases and chords. Warm, organic, tribal, yet dark and gritty techno ready to ignite dancefloors far and wide.

Adiel: After cutting her techno teeth as Goa Club resident, Adiel took wing, taking her hypnotic vinyl DJ sets to the likes of Berghain, DC-10, Circoloco, Awakenings, Dekmantelfabric… while releasing striking solo works such as ‘Musicophilia’ and her collab with Donato Dozzy, ‘Cavallina’, plus running her Danza Tribale label. A ballet dancer for fifteen years before pursuing music, Adiel is a multimedia artist with incredible discipline and boundless creativity, also expressing herself via fashion and apparel, inc. a collaboration with Armani.

‘This is the kind of track I’ve always dreamt of creating. It’s urban and organic, and it really represents me. I’ve been working on the track for about a year, testing it out in my sets and closing with it, receiving some amazing reactions. The track was musically ready, but I felt it was missing a voice. Through PIAS, I found Falle Nioke, and he gave this track his beautiful voice and lyrics’. Adiel

Falle Nioke: from Guinea Conakry (in West Africa) but for two years now UK-based, the singer/percussionist plays instruments like Gongoma, Bolon, Cassi, and sings in many languages both European and African, including his native Coniagui. Recently his collab with Ghost Culture, ‘LDN Girl’, mixing afrobeats and electronics, attracted widespread attention. His collab with Adiel takes this side of his work further.

Fans can look forward to Adiel releasing more of her tracks on [PIAS] Électronique gradually over the next few months.
