Nine Roses: Canadian artist Filip Filipi releases mixtape hosted by Gucci Mane

Last summer, we featured a special Q&A featuring Canadian west coast rapper Filip Filipi which focused on his past work as a humanitarian, and a speech that he gave to the UN Council.

This time, we’re focusing more on his music with a look at his latest mixtape, Nine Roses, hosted by the legendary Gucci Mane. Going back to when he went by the name Sin, Filipi has always made sure to bring big names in to host his releases having previously enlisted Team Invasion, DJ Kurupt, DJ Scream, and even DJ Vlad of VladTV fame.

Filipi has dedicated the proceeds from the new tape to his humanitarian organization 28. Jun, and also a new state of the art basketball court. The court is getting attention across the basketball community, not only for its colour and design, but also because its located in Akron, Ohio, the home of LeBron James.

The new court is also special to Filipi because its made specifically to be environmentally friendly, but most of all because it is dedicated to his late friend and manager, Zoran Djakovic.

Nine Roses is available on various digital streaming platforms including Apple Music and Spotify.

You can check out the new project and the lead single “Kosovka” below.
