The Strokes have released “Brooklyn Bridge to Chorus,” a new track from the band’s forthcoming sixth studio album, The New Abnormal, due out on Friday, April 10 from Cult/RCA. It will be the band’s first album in seven years after 2013’s Comedown Machine.
The song follows the previews singles “Bad Decisions” and “At The Door,” whose video premiered during a New Hampshire rally for Bernie Sanders back in February.
In their new retro-inspired track, “Brooklyn Bridge to Chorus,” Julian Casablancas sings with poppy melancholia, “I want new friends, but they don’t want me / They’re making plans while I watch TV / Thought it was you, but maybe it’s me / I want new friends, but they don’t want me.”
