It’s been a long time coming, but the latest installment of the popular video game Grand Theft Auto finally has a new release date. While the highly anticipated GTA 6 won’t be dropping until next year, Rockstar Games, the creators of the action-adventure game, recently released more details, revealing they are leaning into hip-hop more than ever with the latest edition.

GTA 6 Goes Hip-Hop

On Tuesday (May 6), an updated trailer was released for the forthcoming game, which can be seen below, as well as more particulars. GTA 6 will follow the criminal duo of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos and their exploits in Vice City. As a new addition to the game, the creators will introduce Only Raw Records, a new hip-hop label founded by characters Dre’Quan Priest and Boobie Ike. It will also include rappers Bae-Luxe and Roxy, a musical duo signed to the label as Real Dimez.

Some fans online believe the fictional group was inspired by the City Girls. There is also speculation that Megan Thee Stallion could be in the game.
