What really happens in the DJ booth and behind the velvet ropes? The new Inside Ibiza season of the influential Loud & Unfiltered podcast launched on 19 June and promises real, raw conversations with legends and locals who have truly shaped the White Isle from the inside out.
Ibiza remains one of the most influential and mythologised destinations in dance music culture, but the island is changing. Inside Ibiza gives space to the voices who know it best and they will help chart its evolution with authentic insight, humour and of course plenty of chaotic tales.
From iconic party founders to cutting-edge DJs, resident legends and industry insiders, Inside Ibiza explores the island’s changing cultural landscape, with no holds barred and nothing off the table. Themes covered across the season will include how to move to and work in Ibiza, whether Ibiza priced young people off the dancefloor, a discussion of the shift from promoter-led to artist-led events, wild tales from Manumission and Ibiza’s 90s heyday, what’s next for the island’s creative community, what it’s like to launch a new club, how competitive it is between venues and plenty more about life working behind the scenes.
The series debuts with Grego O’Halloran who works with Circoloco, DC10 and Mixmag AE, then Manumission, Ibiza Rocks, Pikes and 528 Ibiza pioneer Andy McKay and Steven Braines who is behind HE.SHE.THEY and works with Glitterbox, Defected and D4 D4nce.
Future episodes promise even more insight from Jodie Layton from TNL, Hï Ibiza, [UNVRS] and Ushuaïa, Fergie of Casa Alta, Jason Bye of Café Mambo, ARTBAT and ARGY manager Chris Braun, Eóin Smyth from Game Over and Wildchild, DJ Awards founder Mark Netto and Ibiza content creator Dwayne Nolan.
Loud&Unfiltered takes you behind the scenes of the music industry and beyond with some of its key players. The series has proven an immediate success with experts, professionals and entrepreneurs all diving into a range of topics from personal branding and innovation to the intersection of music and tech. Unfiltered discussions on success and creativity have already featured the likes of Dancefloor.fm’s Ben King, performance psychology and mindset expert Lucie Burns, TagMix founders Andy Dean & Steve Jenner, Ministry of Sound’s MD Caitlin McAllister, Mark Newton who is the mastermind behind Field Day, Hideout, Snowbombing and many more.
Each episode runs 40–60 minutes and is packed with behind-the-scenes stories, first-hand insight and honest debate from voices who live and breathe the island.
