Toronto rapper Pressa debuts new EP Gardner Express

Today, Sony Music Canada artist Pressa releases his major label debut EP, Gardner Express.

The title of the seven-track project is a play on words referencing Pressa’s last name (Gardner) and the Gardiner Expressway, a major highway running through the downtown core of his hometown, Toronto. In the same vein as the Gardiner Expressway, Pressa’s music acts as a lifeline and main artery in the city, and no matter where Pressa resides he will always represent the streets of Toronto.

In celebration of the project, Pressa announced a cinematic, livestream event for fans, taking place Wednesday, December 16th at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT) on the Happin App/website. Happin is a popular virtual concert app that allows fans from around the world to interact with artists directly. All attendees of the cinematic livestream can participate in the live, hosted Q+A after the performance, and VIP access includes a variety of exclusive opportunities like limited merch items, virtual meet and greets or a private smoke session with Pressa. Vist their website more information on tickets and VIP packages.

Gardner Express features previously released tracks, “OTM,” “96 Freestyle,” and “Head Tap” featuring Brooklyn drill rappers, Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow. The trifecta of Pressa, with Sleepy Hallow and Sheff G landed the track an Apple Beats 1 premiere with Ebro Darden, and the three songs culminated in 10.5 million global streams worldwide, to date. Reigniting Pressa’s fanbase in North America and the U.K., the music garnered attention from esteemed hip-hop outlet Complex, HotNewHipHop, RapCaviar, Rolling Loud’s Twitch series called Loud Gaming, and the NBA Memes official Instagram account, for a special halftime interview that took place during the 2020 NBA Playoffs.

Pressa continues his sizzling hot streak of collaborations with the biggest rising stars in the genre, with “Dracula” featuring Flipp Dinero, “Attachments” featuring Taliban Glizzy and the latest single, “Blackberry Zap,” featuring Jackboy. “Blackberry Zap” is a departure from the hard, street tracks Pressa is known for, but still feels authentic by meshing both rappers’ melodic rap style with Jackboy’s southern Florida charm. The EP rounds out with “Ouija Board” featuring U.K. hip-hop collective, D-Block Europe.
